Mission Plus

The initial minimum investment is $100. Additions to principal may be made in any amount, and funds may be redeemed at any time. Interest rates are set in tiers, so the more that you invest, the more you earn in interest. The tiers are:

Tier 1:  $100 to $9,999
Tier 2:  $10,000 to $24,999
Tier 3:  $25,000 to $99,999
Tier 4:  $100,000 and above

As a MissionPlus investor, you receive a checkbook that you can use to redeem funds in any amount at any time.

Features of the Investment:

  • Initial quantity of checks provided FREE of charge

  • No minimum amount for check writing

  • Unlimited number of checks per month

  • No monthly fees

  • Payments by check are accomplished by partial redemption of your MissionPlus investment

MIF Visa Debit Card
Enjoy the convenience of the Mission Investment Fund Visa Debit Card. Use it to redeem funds from your MissionPlus investment for purchases or at ATMs. MIF charges no fees for the debit card. Apply for the debit card using the interactive purchase application (above).

The Mission Investment Fund Visa debit card is available only to individuals. Congregations, synods and ELCA-related ministries are not eligible to apply for the card. Debit card payments are accomplished by partial redemption from your MissionPlus investment. Your MissionPlus investment is not a bank account.

Youth Ministry MissionPlus
An MIF Youth Ministry MissionPlus investment is an easy way to put aside funds for the 2009 Youth Gathering in New Orleans —  or any youth event — and have immediate access to the funds when they are needed. Learn more>

(NOTE: In South Carolina, MissionPlus investments are available only to congregations and ELCA-related ministries but not to individuals. MissionPlus investments are not available for sale in Louisiana.)
