The Mission Investment Fund of the ELCA
provides:

investment opportunities
for
individuals,
families,
congregations,
synods
and
ELCA-related
ministries
to
help build
the
Lutheran
church
as
they earn interest on their financial resources.

loans to ELCA new mission congregations for purchases of land and construction of initial church buildings, and to established ELCA congregations for expansion, renovation
and relocation
projects, land purchases,
and
refinancing
of
existing
debt.
|
|
loans for capital
building projects to ELCA-related ministries such as, synods, seminaries, colleges, schools, outdoor ministries, and social ministry organizations.
|
|
•
|
church building consultants
who
advise
ELCA
congregations
on
financing
and
planning
building
or
renovation
programs
from
inception
to
completion,
and
area
representatives
who
provide
information
on
MIF
loans
and
investments.
|
|
•
|
Provides matching
Poverty Grants and Endowment Grants to ELCA congregations and ELCA-related ministries for capital
building projects.
